Maynard's 60th Holiday Parade 2026 Theme: Six Decades, One Community, Endless Memories

For sixty years, the Maynard Holiday Parade has been a cherished town tradition. It has meant so much to so many, and the memories it has created are as unique as the generations who have shared them.

For some, the parade brings back memories of marching down Main Street with their Scout troop, teeth chattering in the winter cold but hearts filled with the pride and excitement that only a hometown tradition can inspire. For others, it's the sight of Fleepo the Clown—creator of the Maynard Christmas Parade—waving from a tinsel-covered truck as it made its way through town. Or perhaps it's that magical moment each year when the distant sound of a helicopter sparked excited cries of, "Santa!" as children searched the sky for their first glimpse of the guest of honor.

Maybe you've been with us through every decade and remember what made each era of the parade so special. Who could forget the parade-goers in fur-lined coats and fedoras of the 1960s, the tinsel-trimmed flatbed floats of the 1970s, the aluminum foil creations of the 1980s, or the brightly colored neon jackets that defined the 1990s?
